Student life in Warsaw

 

Come to study in Warsaw to gain a high quality education and new friends!

Warsaw is a city full of young people, a high percentage being students from both all over Poland and abroad. This high number of students shapes the tone and atmosphere of the city. For example, after classes, large numbers of students may be seen studying in the many libraries and shops, where you can read books while drinking tea or coffee at the same time.

In summer, one of Warsaw´s many parks may provide the perfect place to read and revise notes while relaxing at the same time. If you like this kind of thing, Lazienki Park, with its tree-lined paths, Royal Palace and quiet retreats, is a must near the city centre.

Of course, Warsaw is also a great place for active recreation with its sports centres, swimming-pools, gymnasiums, tennis courts and fitness clubs being dotted all over the city. In addition, Warsaw has many special bicycle lanes which run along, for example, scenic routes next to the river Vistula, and through parks, woods and other recreational areas in the city.

Besides the above, students can sign up for many activities organised by universities, such as arts, dance, foreign language, yoga, martial arts and information technology classes. Thus, you have the possibility to develop interests in many kinds of things.

Warsaw is not short of cinemas! There are large, multi-screen, cinema complexes all over the city, and many of these have film festivals showing films from all over the world.

If you want to go to a concert, you can choose from a wide number of Classical Music, Jazz, Pop and Rock events. Besides this, you can visit theatres, museums and art exhibitions. For example, for one special day in June, there is the special event of Warsaw´s museums being kept open all night, while visitors are ferried around, from museum to museum, on vintage buses throughout the darkness.

Warsaw is also not short of restaurants and bars!  For example, each restaurant offers exotic tastes from a different parts of the world, be it Czech, French, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Vietnamese, or traditional Polish food.

So there you have it! Come and study in Warsaw to gain a great educational experience, and to feel the excitement of living in a large, cosmopolitan city with a rich, historical legacy.
