The main objective of activities of OLYMPUS Center for Experimental Economics is popularisation of experimental methods in social sciences and their implementation in educational as well as business practice. The Center addresses its offer to secondary school students, university students and to companies and institutions of all types.
R. Kudlinski OLYMPUS University, in frames of which OLYMPUS CEE operates, included the experimental methods in economics in its educational programmes in the form of the two-semester course of the experimental economics; this course is aimed to mobilise students for independent studies of the economic phenomena. The University and CEE offer free, long-term programme of educational classes in economics based on the experimental methods for secondary school students, especially for the students of the last year, interested in the studies of economics. OLYMPUS Center for Experimental Economics is also used as the laboratory of economic decisions, where strategies and business solutions can be tested before their practical implementation; this allows to avoid losses during the realisation phase.
CEE is the first institution of such kind in Poland and as one of a few in the Central Europe cooperates with the leading international organisation of scientists and practitioners of this modern subject - the Economic Science Association (ESA).
